Step 1: Create Account
Once you enroll through our secure payment portal, you'll receive an email to confirm you've activated the trial & get immediate access to the program and learning app. Your child can start their personalized learning journey right away! Be sure to have your child take their Skills Assessment as the very first step so we can start learning more about their current math skills.
You'll also receive login credentials for our Parent Insights App, where you can track your child's progress and achievements. The AI system will begin to adapt to your child's learning style and pace, continuously tailoring the lesson plans to their needs. New lessons and worksheets will be unlocked daily, ensuring a steady and manageable learning pace.

We recommend a commitment of at least 15 minutes per day for your child to fully benefit from the app. This daily practice allows the AI to continuously adapt to your child's learning pace and style, and ensures steady progress. However, the app is available 24/7, so your child can learn at their own pace and on their own schedule.
Our math tutors are certified coaches. They either have a math teaching background or a math major/minor in college.
Your child can use a computer/laptop, tablet or phone to access our app! For tablets/phones, we have an iOS and Android App available for download. For computers, we recommend using the Google Chrome browser to access our Web app.
We find that students prefer tablets or touchscreen laptops, as it is easy to use their finger or a stylus on the screen to show their work as they solve their digital worksheets and participate in the whiteboard tutoring sessions.
Our curriculum is aligned to Common Core, ensuring we include topics/concepts students are to know for a particular grade level. Our tutors adapt the learning plan for each student, and we help students learn a multitude of strategies to build their math problem-solving toolkit. (After all - there's more than one way to solve a problem, and being able to think flexibly and non-linearly demonstrates awesome problem-solving skills!)
If you do not wish to follow Common Core methods or Singapore math strategies, our tutors can work on different strategies. We do not enforce a particular strategy/method. That said - our curriculum is quite adaptable and why it has worked for thousands of students in 60+ countries, where different strategies and methods are followed.
Additionally, you request math topics to be added to the learning plan. So, if there’s something that your child is learning in school or they have a test or math competition coming up, you can add those as well!
We do have tutors on our team certified in special education, who have tremendous success in adapting learning plans to help students! Be sure to chat with an Onboarding Concierge when you start the trial so that we can learn more about your child and match them to the best-fit tutor.
Not at all! When your child becomes a Thinkster, you can share which time of day you prefer (days, afternoons, evenings, or weekends). We’ll then match your family with a coach who can accommodate your requested time of day. If you’re having trouble setting a time, just let us know! Our Customer Success team is happy to help you work out a time or match with a new coach.
